A Little About Me…

Where to begin? Childhood? When I first picked up a camera? My approach? How I spend my weekends? We’ll get there.

For starters, some quick housekeeping. This bio was NOT written with chatgpt. And I feel that is important to note in today’s world where AI written amalgamations are passed off as the expression of individuals. For me, the conscious non use of such programs echoes my outlook on life and my philosophy for photography. Call me old school, but I prioritize raw and authentic creativity and human expression.  I hope if you have found your way here, you do too.

I called Vermont home for the first 18 years of my life, and at some point during my younger years I began experimenting with a camera. Little did I know, the small act of pressing a button would largely shape my life. Long before instagram or social media was in the fore front of our attention, I was taking photos and telling stories simply because I was compelled to do so. I love documenting the details of life, immersing myself in unique narratives and creating beautiful images.

Enough about the camera specifics, though.  Obviously I like taking photos, but if I am going to be tagging along on your special day, it’s only fair you know a little more about what makes me tick… 

I was on a pair of skis before I could walk and my tendency towards all things counter culture, naturally, led me to a snowboard.  For anyone raised on the East Coast, the mountains in the West are always calling.  My path led me to the champagne powder of Utah for nearly ten years.  I snowboarded, I biked, I injured myself doing both, and I continued doing everything at high octane levels.  Slowly the town changed and the lift lines got longer and I realized it was time to continue westward.  The ocean was calling.  I skipped over California and headed straight for crystal blue waters of Kauai, Hi.  Nowadays, surfing consumes my life and I ride the same storms just at different phases.  Although, I can’t sit still for too long and I am always scheming up the next adventure. Bring me along on yours!

  • This is more than just another day. These memories are meant to transcend a lifetime and reach into future generations. I am here for the unconventional, the unique and the stunning moments. The details that may seem like nothing to outsiders, but mean everything to essence of your day. I am here to create with you, not just for you.

  • I am a sucker for romance. And while my personal love story is still unfolding, I find that helping others showcase and immortalize their special day brings me great inspiration and hope. When two people are in love, they are truly themselves and this energy can be witnessed and felt through the lens of a camera.

  • Enough about photography…how else do I spend my days? In short, outside among nature. There is an unmatched level of peace that washes over me whenever I am in the wild. It’s hard to be dissatisfied with life when watching the sky ablaze with sunset hues while floating in Pacific waiting for a wave to come my way. Or when you stop to appreciate the utter silence while trekking out to the far reaches for a run of untouched powder. These are the moments that beg NOT to be photographed and simply enjoyed.
